The Scholar
Sophrus is a young novice and field scholar from the Kingdom of the One. He is knowledgeable and eager to trust records, accepted interpretations, and institutional authority, but real travel repeatedly tests the gap between theory and experience. He is capable of field work and is very much a young man in his twenties — not an elderly professor.
